Spring Gala is a party holding by Taiwanese association, I am the Vice-President of this group. So I join this celebration of spring gala. It was more than 40 people in Matt’s house. Matt’s house is very big. There are 6 people live there. At the first time, I thought how they could have such big party. When I arrived his house, I knew why they could hold such big party. We have a rule to join this party, everyone should prepare one meal, but I am on main campus, so they told me to prepare some drinks. There have a spicy chafing dish. I ate a lot. I afraid getting, I think I should do more exercise. After we went back, we give a phone to our friends (Kim Joe and Andy) , and we continued to have a game until 3.00

Although my mum is a hairdresser, but to be honest, I am not good hairdresser, but I try my best. I think west hairdressers do not understand Asia’s hair, so we always unsatisfied to them.

27 Jan Chester
Chester is almost 2000 years old and very historic city. Its unique architecture. Chester is only city in Britain to have complete circuit of walls. It takes 2 hours to walk around these walls. But we only walk part of walls. We saw Eastgate clock, its said to be the most photographed clock in the world- second only to Big-Ben in London. We also saw many building created in “black and white”, they call “The Raws”. The layout of Rows goes back to 13th century. There were shops and warehouse at street level, with long gallery above, reached by steps from the street level. Living quarters were on the gallery level. In the middle ages this would be have been a hall, open to the roof and heated by a central hearth. The private rooms, and or solar, were above the gallery. In the Tudor and Jacobean period the upper floors were built out over gallery, supported on long poles down to the street level. Shops at ground level used the space between the posts to display their goods to passers-by.
We also saw Amphitheatre and Roman Gardens, to be honest; we were very disappointment to see Amphitheatre. It is too small. Its not easy to image that gladiators fought in this place. Then we went to Grosvenor Museum, this museum show life in Chester through the ages.
